A vintage midcentury French brass and marble coffee/cocktail table in the style of legendary firm Maison Jansen reflecting the typical aesthetic codes of Hollywood Regency taste, given a few original twists to modernize the Neoclassical silhouette. The inset, black marble resembles the dramatic Nero Marquina variety, showing patches of dark gray streaked in white veins and surrounded with patinated brass trim. Fluted legs (also patinated by oxidation) accented with square capitals and bases are joined by stretchers across the length and width in an H-formation marked again by square blocks and polished, turned spacers for textural variety. French Pair of Vintage Brass Wheat Sconces

This pair of vintage (circa 1970) French Hollywood Regency style gilt sconces use the symbolism of wheat to glamorize the agrarian, promoting abundance and prosperity in any room they are hung in. The design was likely inspired by a wheat-sheaf side table belonging to the famous Coco Chanel. For the modern interior these sconces delight us with organic references of pastoral naturalism, worked in gilded metal to illuminate the room in a flattering ambience. Each single-arm fixture projects outward from a loose arrangement of elegantly bowed stalks, lit by one candelabra-base bulb in faux candle cover mounted in a floral bobeche. A Hollywood Regency, 1970’s modern brass-toned etagere shelf unit, with four glass shelves of octagonal shape. Each shelf is adjustable to two settings by relocating the support rods.
