A wonderful repurposed–or upcycled–vintage wallpaper ink roller now a table lamp, topped with a new, conical shade in oyster gray linen to diffuse the light from a standard-base lightbulb. The wood cylinder is dotted by what remains of the floral and foliate brass stamp that would have printed a design onto paper, with other traces of the original illustration wrapping around the column. The lamp riser is an ebonized (painted) disc to not distract from the subtlety of the design. Cleaned and professionally rewired for US electrical using UL-listed parts including a new bronze-tone fabric cord, this table lamp is ready to illuminate your interior. French 19th Century Gilt Bronze and Ceramic Chandelier

French 19th century slender chandelier made of cast, gilt bronze and accented with a spike at the bottom in cobalt ceramic–vitrified by fire to a depth of color and sheen that could easily be mistaken for glass. The elongated fixture incorporates a crown with plumes, from which the twisting cables descend–stationed with an additional knot on each–before hooking onto the frame of three candle arms, rising on scrolling tendrils of acanthus referencing the Neoclassical taste. From there the chandelier column tapers into additional foliate designs around the capital of the blue ceramic post, before terminating as an artichoke finial. The styling and use of thick, blue-green glass recalls the work of their contemporaries at Fontana Arte, pioneers of designing with glass for lighting and furniture. In this example the frame is made from chromed steel branching to support three arms (holding two chandelier bulbs each) diffused in two layers of green, transparent glass: the outer “shield” is a flat, oval lens creating an optical illusion in front of the semicircular inner panes around the lamping.
